This manufacturing company
is in the business of building machines that are called "Chemical Vapor
Deposition" machines and they are used in the manufacturing of silicon
wafers. Silicon wafers are the building blocks for microchips -
everything from the Intel Pentium 4 to the little things that keep your
digital watches on time. Normally these machines run between $50,000 to $75,000 and are sold to large companies such as AC Delco, Micron and other manufacturers that need to make large amounts of chips for their own internal use. The challenge on this deal was that normally you do not factor invoices for machines that take a long time to test out and make sure they are working. However in this case, because our client had long standing relations with the buyers, we were able to obtain verification and acceptance of the machines. By providing instant liquidity our client was able to capitalize on large orders for these machines, orders he would have had to pass on if he did not have the cash flow from Riviera. His increased profits alone resulted in this client growing their business by 70% in six months. |
